Red Chillies Entertainment ran 'Zero trailer' ads on YouTube to set the standards high for 2.0

The trailer of two of the most awaited films of the year - Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 released back to back on 2nd and 3rd November.

Zero's trailer which was 3min 15s long was nothing short of visual grandeur. The movie starring Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles also features Katrina Kaif in a prominent role. 2.0 on the other hand apart from Rajinikanth in a double role, features Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.

Prior to the release of the trailers, the industry circles and media speculated a stiff competition between the two events. Some also reported that Zero trailer would outperform 2.0 trailer. The prediction has turned out be true, however, Red Chillies chose a shortcut to success. 


The Shahrukh Khan's home banner placed ads on YouTube, which helped in the successful promotion of the film.  While on the other hand, Rajinikanth's team believed that word of mouth would work for 2.0 and people's support would greatly encourage the success of the film.
