Mandaadi Nears ₹100 Crore: Soori Eyes His First ₹100 Crore Blockbuster

Soori’s latest release Mandaadi is witnessing a strong run at the box office and is now just a few crores away from entering the coveted ₹100 crore worldwide club. The Tamil-Telugu action drama, directed by debutant Pugazhendhi Mathimaran, has picked up momentum after its release and is emerging as an important milestone in Soori’s journey as a leading actor.

Released on September 10, 2026, Mandaadi opened alongside other major releases but has steadily strengthened its theatrical performance, helped by positive audience response and strong weekend growth.

Mandaadi Box Office Collection: ₹93.65 Crore Worldwide

According to the latest reported figures, Mandaadi collected ₹6.55 crore net in India on Day 10, taking its total India net collection to ₹67.55 crore. Its India gross stood at approximately ₹79 crore, while the overseas gross reached ₹14.65 crore.

This puts the film's worldwide gross at ₹93.65 crore, leaving it roughly ₹6.35 crore short of the ₹100 crore milestone.

The film's second Saturday proved particularly strong, with its Day 10 collection jumping by around 77% compared with the previous day. Such growth has significantly accelerated its journey towards the ₹100 crore mark.

A Strong Turnaround After Day One

Mandaadi began its theatrical run with a reported ₹4.85 crore on Day 1 before gaining momentum over the following days. The film collected ₹6.70 crore on Day 2, ₹10 crore on Day 3 and ₹13.05 crore on Day 4.

Its first-week India net collection reportedly stood at ₹57.30 crore. The film then continued to add to its tally during the second weekend, culminating in the strong ₹6.55 crore Day 10 figure.

The trajectory has also been noted in Tamil media, with reports highlighting that the film crossed ₹65 crore within five days and was heading towards the ₹100 crore milestone.

Could Mandaadi Become Soori's First ₹100 Crore Film?

If Mandaadi crosses ₹100 crore worldwide, it would represent a significant box-office milestone for Soori, marking his first film to enter the ₹100 crore club based on the currently reported figures.

The achievement would also underline the actor's evolution from his earlier career as one of Tamil cinema's popular comedians to a leading performer capable of carrying commercially successful films.

However, as of September 20, 2026, the ₹100 crore milestone has not yet been officially reached according to the latest reported collection figures. The worldwide gross currently stands at ₹93.65 crore.

What Is Mandaadi About?

Directed by Pugazhendhi Mathimaran, Mandaadi is set against a coastal backdrop and revolves around the rivalry between teams led by Kaali and Saattaappuli, who compete in a traditional sailboat race.

The film features Soori alongside Sathyaraj, Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindra Vijay and Kritika Balasubramanian. Cinematography is handled by S. R. Kathir, while GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music.

Mandaadi's ₹100 Crore Milestone Within Reach

With ₹93.65 crore worldwide already reported by the end of Day 10, Mandaadi is within striking distance of the ₹100 crore mark.

The film's strong second-Saturday growth has added further momentum to its theatrical run. Whether it ultimately crosses the milestone will depend on its collections in the coming days, but Mandaadi has already established itself as a notable box-office success for Soori.

For now, the ₹100 crore milestone remains within reach — and the next few days could determine whether Mandaadi becomes Soori's first ₹100 crore worldwide grosser.
