Jailer 2: Shivanna Returns as Narasimha
The biggest immediate release in Shivarajkumar's Tamil slate is undoubtedly Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer 2.
Shivarajkumar reprises his popular character Narasimha, whose appearance in the first Jailer became one of the film's most celebrated moments.
The sequel stars Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian, with Nelson returning as director and Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. Sun Pictures has officially confirmed October 15, 2026 as the theatrical release date.

Bail: The Next Major Kannada Release
Before several of his larger multilingual projects arrive, Shivarajkumar has Pavan Wadeyar's Bail.
The action entertainer features Shivarajkumar as Viji, with Sanjana Anand as the female lead. The cast also includes Deekshith Shetty, Sangeetha, Sai Kumar and Jayaram.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
Bail is particularly important because it places Shivarajkumar back at the centre of a Kannada commercial film after his increasing involvement in projects from other industries.
The film's cop avatar and action-oriented promotional material have already created anticipation among his fans.
Original Monster (OM): Shivarajkumar's Hindi Debut
One of the biggest developments in his current career is R Chandru's Original Monster (OM).
The title was officially unveiled in August, followed by the project's production launch in Bengaluru.
Shivarajkumar plays the titular character, with Telugu actor Sunil also part of the cast. The film is being made in Kannada and Hindi and is planned as a multilingual action drama.
The story is set between the 1990s and 2000 and explores themes involving strength, violence, money and human nature. Chandru has described the project as a film built specifically around Shivarajkumar, saying he wrote the story keeping the actor in mind.
The film also marks Shivarajkumar's Hindi debut, making it a significant step in his expansion beyond South Indian cinema.
The first-look material presents him in an intense, blood-soaked avatar, suggesting that Original Monster will be considerably darker than a conventional commercial entertainer.
For Kannada cinema, this could be one of the most important films in his current slate because the project is being designed from the outset to travel across language markets.
666 Operation Dream Theatre: A Spy-Thriller World
Another intriguing project is Hemanth M Rao's 666 Operation Dream Theatre.
Shivarajkumar plays Agent Prakash, while Dhananjaya is also part of the project.
The film is being positioned as a stylish crime-action/spy thriller inspired by the spy films of the 1970s and 1980s. Shivarajkumar's involvement is particularly interesting because Hemanth M Rao's filmmaking style is generally associated with strong atmosphere and storytelling rather than conventional mass formulas.
The project is currently in the filming stage.
If the film succeeds in balancing Hemanth M Rao's sensibilities with Shivarajkumar's star image, 666 Operation Dream Theatre could become one of the more distinctive films in his Kannada filmography.
Kurma Avatar: Shivanna Enters Mythology
Perhaps the most unexpected addition to Shivarajkumar's slate is Kurma Avatar, a Telugu mythological film directed by Harrshavardhan Kadiyaala.
The film is based around the Kurma Avatar of Lord Vishnu and is being developed as a pan-India project.
The ensemble includes Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Raj Tarun, Sai Kumar and Athira Raj, among others. Shivarajkumar's character was initially kept under wraps, but later updates revealed that he plays Kala Bhairava.
That makes Kurma Avatar particularly interesting.
Rather than another contemporary action role, Shivarajkumar is entering a mythological-action universe, giving him an opportunity to explore an entirely different screen persona.
The film also reunites him with Sai Kumar, who has spoken warmly about their long association.
Picasso: Shivarajkumar's Expanding Tamil Journey
Shivarajkumar's Tamil-film journey is continuing with Picasso, directed by debutant Gowtham Sivaraman.
The film stars Shivarajkumar alongside Abishan Jeevinth, with Yogalakshmi, Shivani Nagaram and Gana Vinoth also in the cast.
The title and first look were officially unveiled on September 7, 2026. The film has already completed its shooting schedule.
The project is significant because it represents another full-fledged Tamil outing for Shivarajkumar rather than simply a special appearance.
His Tamil journey began with Jailer, followed by Captain Miller, and continues with Jailer 2 and now Picasso.
It shows that Tamil cinema is increasingly becoming an important part of his career rather than merely a territory in which he makes occasional guest appearances.
DAD: A For Anand: A Special Project
Another Kannada project is DAD: A For Anand, directed by Srini.
The title has an obvious connection to Shivarajkumar's illustrious career because Anand was his acting debut.

It is a project carrying a strong connection to the actor's journey, while reuniting him with Srini after Ghost. The film remains part of his upcoming Kannada slate.
Gummadi Narsaiah: A Telugu Biographical Project
Shivarajkumar is also part of Gummadi Narsaiah, a Telugu project based on the life of former politician Gummadi Narsaiah.
The film gives him another opportunity to work outside the conventional commercial-action space.
After Peddi, this project further strengthens his association with Telugu cinema and demonstrates that his Telugu line-up isn't limited to supporting appearances in major star vehicles.
Survivor – A Superstar Documentary: A Different Chapter
Among all of Shivarajkumar's projects, Survivor – A Superstar Documentary stands apart.
It is not a feature film. It is a documentary.
Produced by Geetha Shivarajkumar under Geetha Pictures, Survivor documents Shivarajkumar's battle with cancer, his treatment and his recovery.
The project was announced with a poster on his birthday in July 2025, while its teaser was released in January 2026. The teaser focuses on his difficult journey and, importantly, the support he received from his family and fans.
The documentary is directed by Pradeep Sastry, with music by PK Ashwin, cinematography by Bajrang Konatham and editing by Kiru Kitty. A theatrical or streaming release date had not been announced in the latest report.
For Shivanna's fans, Survivor could therefore be considerably more personal than any of his upcoming films.
It is not about creating a fictional character.
It is about documenting the man behind the superstar.
The Next Tamil Project With Saravanan
Shivarajkumar also has an announced Tamil project with director M. Saravanan, known for films such as Engaeyum Eppothum and Ivan Vera Mathiri.
The project is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and is planned as a Tamil-led pan-Indian film. It was announced earlier this year, with production expected to proceed after the actor's existing commitments.
This is another indication that Shivarajkumar's Tamil presence is becoming a sustained part of his career.
